This Bollywood actor cancelled ‘Housefull 4’ shooting amid Sexual harassment allegations

New Delhi: Amid #MeToo allegations against Director Sajid Khan just emerged out, Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar who has recently returned to India after having a wonderful family holiday has canceled his shooting for Housefull 4.

Canceling the shoot, Akshay Kumar declared he was taking “moral responsibility” to step down, NDTV reports.

“I will not work with any proven offenders and those who have been subjugated to harassment should be heard and given the justice they deserve.”

And then comes Sajid Khan who has announced that he was stepping down as director “till the time I can allay the allegations”.

Earlier in the day, Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna had tweeted that “everyone involved” in the film – which includes her husband – needed to take a firm stand on this harassment issue women in India are subjected to.
